Six step reframing:

1. have the client pick a behavior or feeling that s/he doesn't like.
2. have the client set up communication with the part that supports the bad habit.
3. Separate the behavior from the positive intention.
4. Find new behaviors or responses.
5. Gaining commitment and testing the process.
6. checking for personal ecology.
